SALSA ON 6 An accomplished band with a vast repertoire based on the most popular Latin dance rhythms – salsa, merengue, cumbia, bachata and son, among others. Band members have played with top Cuban acts including Adalberto y su Son, Irakere, Los Novels, Klimax and Cubanismo, giving them as much experience as they have energy. |
TROPICANADA Orchestra burst onto the Latin scene in October 2009 delighting audiences with classic Colombian and Puerto Rican salsa and cumbia from the 1970s and 80s. After a brief hiatus the group was reinvented in October 2010, adding merengue, cha-cha, bolero, and ballads to their already impressive repertoire.

STEPS DANCE STUDIO
Jennifer Aucoin is a salsa instructor, performer and choreographer. She is the founder and artistic director of STEPS Dance Studio in Toronto and has taught workshops across the globe. Jennifer is the organizer of the annual Canada Salsa Congress, as well as the Canadian Salsa Championships. She has represented Canada as part of the esteemed judging panel for the World Salsa Championships on ESPN, and has judged competitions in Puerto Rico, Miami, New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, Detroit, and across Canada.

CALIENTE DRUM & DANZ
With over 20 years of dance, performance and competition experience in various world events, Caliente Drum & Danz presents skilled dancers performing rhythms of the Latin countries in a colourful, cultural and dazzling Latin dance show. Caliente Drum & Danz will give you the drum-based musical dance styles of Uruguay, the swinging hips of La Punta of Honduras, the folkloric dances of Mexico, Paraguay and Argentina, as well as the lively rhythms of Brazil. They’ll showcase the sharp pace of merengue from the Dominican Republic, and the hot rhythms from the Colombian Caribbean coast.
